The tourist boom in Cuba is particularly boosting hotel business, as the increase in arrivals requires expanded capacity, and this has led Iberostar chain to set the island as a priority in its projections in the Americas.

With the recent opening of the Iberostar Bella Vista Varadero Hotel, this Majorcan (Spain) company provided a new opportunity for the island’s recreational industry, in this case, the five-star Premium Gold category.

Precisely, the Premium Gold is the second in importance of the Iberostar portfolio (The Grand Collection, Premium Gold, Premium and Iberostar).

Mateo Caldentey, Iberostar delegate in Cuba, reminded this journalist that his company has been operating in the archipelago for 24 years, and showed joy for the new facility that he described as magnificent.

Owned by Gaviota Group and managed by Iberostar, the Bella Vista has 827 rooms and a wide variety of recreation and gastronomy, dedicated to the adult and family segments.

Caldentey said they are betting on growth in Cuba and will shortly incorporate the Iberostar Holguin in the eastern region of the country, scheduled to open during the 37th FITCuba 2017 International Tourism Fair in May of this year.

Another news is that the Spanish firm will also manage the Habana Riviera, one of the most legendary hotels in Cuba, inaugurated in the 1950’s.

The Group owns more than 100 hotels in 16 countries, and in particular in Cuba there are already 15, now with the Bella Vista Hotel.
