Esteban Lazo met former Paraguayan President
Deputy Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of the People´s Power of Cuba, met yesterday with former President of the Republic of Paraguay and current Senator Fernando Lugo Mendez.
The meeting took place in the Havana´s Capitol. Both leaders exchanged views on the relationship between the two Parliaments. They also tackled domestic and regional subjects, and showed their concern on the volatile international situation.
Esteban Lazo was accompanied by deputies Yolanda Ferrer Gomez, president of the Assembly´s International Relations Commission, and Aixa Hevia, vice-president of the aforementioned Commission and head of the Parliamentary Friendly Group Cuba-Paraguay.
Fernando Lugo arrived in Cuba in a working visit on May 19th. He is also accompanied by Senators Victor Bogado Gonzalez, Colorado Party, and Ramon Gomez Verlangieri, Liberal Party.
