Cuba to Host International Event on Society and New Technology

According to the newspaper Granma, the event will be held in Varadero, Matanzas, from October 16ht to 20th.

Ailyn Febles Estrada, Doctor in Technical Sciences, told the newspaper that with the event Cibersociedad 2017, the UIC, organization of Cuban IT specialists, seeks to fulfill the plan for economic development 2030 and the sustainable development goals for the same year.

She said that during the event, Cuban academicians and companies will share their views and experiences with representatives from Spain and Latin American countries.

She said that some of the issues to be discussed are the cloud computing, big data, Internet of things, artificial intelligence, enhanced reality and other concepts, as well as their links to the Government, industry, infrastructure, human development and others.
