Regarding solidarity with Cuba, Pastors for Peace ''does not take vacations or spare time,'' said members of the US inter-religious group, participants in the 28th US-Cuba Friendship Caravan.

During a media conference at the main opffice of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, those representatives asserted that the hardening of the hostile policy against the island nation announced by US President Donald Trump, strengthens their determination to defend the Cuban Revolution 'beyond limits.'

This edition of the initiative of solidarity, started 25 years ago by Reverend Lucius Walker, is an expression of the willingness of social movements, religious organizations in the United States and other countries of continuing defending the right of the Cuban people to build their future at peace, asserted Gail Walker, executive director of Pastors for Peace.

Hence the fundamental purpose of this organization is aimed at demanding the lifting of the economic, financial and trade blockade of Cuba by Washington, as well as the return of the territory illegally occupied with Guantanamo naval base in the Cuban eastern region, she said.

In the meeting, caravan members Luis Barrios explained that the program fulfilled by the group since its arrival on July 13 has allowed an approach to the Cuban situation and favors their work to provide information to rise, politically organize and mobilize awareness,' regarding the support to Cuba.

She asserted that these visits to Cuba were an opportunity to renew the hopes and energies of the activists of an organization that reinvents itself '24 hours a day' to make more efficient its battle in defense of the Cuban Revolution and people.
