Hotel Nacional, Best in Cuba for World Travel Award
The Hotel Nacional de Cuba was officially selected as the best in this country according to the 2017 World Travel Award, a radio report stated today confirming this condition, which it also achieved in previous years.
Radio Reloj station said that the prize is achieved by that facility for complying with all the established requirements.
World Travel Award is the most prestigious awards program in the travel industry worldwide, and is conferred by a prestigious jury that values excellence. It is considered the 'Oscar' of the tourist industry in the world.
The prize is the result of a voting process, along with a global campaign of participation, including experts and specialists related to tourism.
It is a recognition of a wide range of indicators by region, from hotels to travel agencies and airlines.
The Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski, the Florida Hotel, the Iberostar Parque Central Hotel, the Melia Cayo Coco Hotel (center-north) and the Melia Cohiba Hotel were also nominated (on the Cuban side).
The Hotel Nacional de Cuba won that same prize every year since 2004, except in 2010 than the Central Park Hotel won it.
World Travel Awards emerged in 1993 and they are annually delivered to encourage hospitality and other tourist segments.
Delivered in September, the Riviera Maya was acclaimed as a beach destination, as well as Cancun was also recognized in Mexico.
Cataloged as National Monument of Cuba, the facility has a wonderful view of much of the capital. It is a symbol of the Cuban five star hotel. The Hotel Nacional de Cuba opened on December 30, 1930.
