Bolivian President Evo Morales has denounced today the extension for another year of the ''inhuman'' economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

In his Twitter, Morales highlighted the courage and resistance of the Cuban people and the example of dignity shown to the world.

The empire wants to subjugate everyone to its capitalist policy, but the brave Cuban people are resisting and giving an example of dignity, he wrote on the social media.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, extended on Monday for another year the so-called Enemy Trade Act, a law which constitutes the basis of the blockade against the island.

Trump also extended the law in 2017, and before the expiration of that postponement on September 14, he decided to keep it in force until the same date in 2019.

In 1962 the then president John Kennedy imposed the economic, commercial and financial blockade against the Caribbean nation renewed since then by the following rulers.

This economic blockade has been condemned by the majority of the international community since 1992 in the UN General Assembly.

Last year, 191 out of 193 members of the international organization supported Cuba's demand and only the United States and Israel opposed it.
