Cuba's Deputy Foreign Minister Begins Official Visit to New Zealand
Cuba''s First Deputy Foreign Minister, Marcelino Medina, on Monday began an official visit to New Zealand as part of a tour by Europe, Asia and Oceania.
According to a publication on his Twitter account, the Caribbean diplomat met on Monday with the Minister of Commerce and Export Growth, David Parker.
Medina arrives at this capital from Russia, where he held meetings with the president of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Senate, Konstantin Kosachov, and with the first Vice president of the State Duma (lower house) and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Ivan Melnikov.
At the end of his stay in New Zealand, the diplomat will visit Australia, Timor Leste and Spain, countries where he will also be received by high personalities of the respective governments, with whom he will exchange criteria 'on topics of common interest of the bilateral agenda and the international scenario,' reported the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
