The benefits of Cuban tourism will be strongly present in one of the most important fairs of the travel industry, the World Travel Market that will be held in London in November.

The 39th edition of the International Tourism Fair World Travel Market London 2018, scheduled for November 5-7, will feature a large sample of the Cuban offers in the British capital, an official statement said Saturday.

A message from the Cuban Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) added that the Cuban delegation will be chaired by the minister of the sector in this country, Manuel Marrero.

Managers from the hotel chains Gran Caribe, Islazul, Cubanacan, and the associates Iberostar, Melia Hotels International, Blue Diamond, Valentin, NH Hoteles, Grupo Muthus, Accor, and Roc Hoteles are also part on the Cuban team.

The extensive list reviewed by the MINTUR also includes Grupo Empresarial Viajes Cuba, the receptive agencies Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, Havanatur, and Ecotur, together with Caracol business group.

As part of the activities that will be developed by the Cuban delegation, there is an update on the tourism potential of Havana, close to its 500th anniversary.

In the promotion portfolio also appears Matanzas, the country's keys, Holguin and Santiago de Cuba, as the main regions of interest for the English market.

The delegation will present at the London event the International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2019) which will be in Havana, dedicated to Spain as the guest of honor and to the product events and incentives.

In the program of activities, the participation of Cuba in the Summit of Ministers-WTO (World Tourism Organization) is significant.

That meeting will take place on November 6. This year, the meeting will be under the motto Investment in Tourism Technology.

The United Kingdom is a market of great importance for Cuban tourism and currently, the authorities are working to strengthen the positioning of Destination Cuba there, as well as to diversify products designed for commercialization in view of the new winter season.

The high or winter season has just started (November-April) and the MINTUR considers that it will have a much greater impact than in the past.
