Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez highlighted on Friday the increase in the number of visits to Cuba of Cubans residing abroad in 2018, thanks to the foreign policy of the country with its nationals.
On his Twitter account @BrunoRguezP, the Cuban foreign minister described as a record the arrival of these citizens, which he explained is due to the strengthening of ties with the Cuban community abroad.
He also noted that most of the visits came from the United States, noting that of the 567,000 more than 493,000 were from the US.
'Record figures. More than 567,000 visits of Cubans living abroad to #Cuba in 2018 and of them, more than 493,000 from #USA. An increase of approximately 20%, which shows continuity in the policy of strengthening Cuba's ties with its nationals abroad,' the Cuban foreign minister said on the aforementioned social network.
