TRINIDAD, AN EXQUISITE NEW HUMIDOR IS GOING TO BE RELEASED

As part of the XXI Festival del Habano in February an exquisite humidor will be presented to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the brand Trinidad.

Fifty years – an important milestone that should be duly celebrated. The order for the Trinidad anniversary humidor went, for the first time, to the prestigious Italian company DeART of the brothers Massimo and Alberto de Munari.

Of this extraordinary humidor, only 100 numbered specimens were made by the cabinetmakers’ craftspeople by hand using precious, choice materials: Spanish cedar, ebony, brass, mother of pearl and Italian leather.

The inspiration for the form of the humidor was the design of the Trinidad logo: the centerpiece is made using ebony and nished with mother-of-pearl inlay. The “T” of the Trinidad logo is clearly recognizable. The 50th anniversary logo was positioned in the center. The humidor opens like a treasure chest that brings out precious treasures. The double opening of the draws skillfully highlights the cigars and facilitates particularly easy access.

Pressing on two places on the front of the humidor, the two side-mounted pillars rotate, with their special form reminiscent of tobacco leaves, and are supported by a brass bar. On top of the left pillar a small plaque depicts the Trinidad brand’s 50th anniversary logo and the humidor’s serial number. On the other pillar, a hygrometer is sunk into the wood. Furthermore, both columns house trays made from Spanish cedar that are shaped like cigars so that they t perfectly into the respective molds. Each column contains six of these cedar-wood trays, giving the humidor space for 50 cigars, which were especially produced for the 50th anniversary. The name of the vitola is Gloriosos and the measurements are: 155 x 23.4 | 6 1⁄8 x 59. In addition, the humidor contains a small booklet on the history of the brand Trinidad as well as the respective deed of ownership. The Trinidad brand, created in 1969, was inspired by the Cuban colonial city that was declared a Unesco world Heritage Site in 1986.
