The text confirms the irreversibility of socialism in Cuba as well as the leading role of the Communist Party of Cuba. It also widens individuals’ rights and safeguards, strengthens people’s power in municipalities, promotes foreign investments, accepts several changes in the State structure and recognizes diverse forms of property, both state-owned and private.
