Cuban Health Minister Jose Angel Portal said Tuesday that solidarity can not be blocked, in reference to the blockade imposed against Cuba by the U.S. government.

As the empire tightens the genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, our collaborators continue to bring health to the most intricate corners of the world, Portal said in Twitter.

In another tweet the Minister posted: Today more than ever we reaffirm Fidel's words: Medical personnel who march to any point to save lives, even at the risk of losing their own, is the greatest example of solidarity that human beings can offer

In the words of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Cuban the doctors can never be defamed for their humanist work in different parts of the planet.

The Head of State responded to an article published on March 17 by journalist Nicholas Casey in The New York Times, which states that Cuban doctors present in Venezuela were apparently used to pressure patients in the vote in favor of President Nicolas Maduro in the May 20 elections.

Cuban doctors can never be defamed. His extraordinary human work in lands that the empire calls 'dark corners of the world,' denies the NYT and its reporter Casey, he said in Twitter.
