Cuba’s President Miguel Diaz-Canel recalled today the bombings carried out by US airplanes on Cuban soil on April 15 (1961) and ratified the bravery of the Cuban people while facing any US attack.
In his twitter profile, the head of state recalled the events and subsequent attacks to Bay of Pigs. Likewise, he made reference to present aggressions Cuba is being targeted right now and confirmed our response will always be loyalty.
On April 15, 1961, enemy airplanes camouflaged with the same banner used by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba bombed the airport of Ciudad Libertad, the San Antonio de los Baños air base, and the airport of Santiago de Cuba.
These bombings were the prelude of the Bay of Pigs attacks where a brigade armed, trained, and moved by the US was defeated while trying to destroy the Cuban Revolution.
