Havana, Jun 9 (Prensa Latina) President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday said that Cuba and Venezuela will win over the aggressiveness by the United States, thanks to the unity and dignity that characterize the two countries.

'United and with dignity we will counter and defeat the threats, unjust sanctions and the blockade,' the Cuban president wrote on Twitter, regarding the visit by the speaker of the Venezuelan National Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello.

On Friday, before returning home, Cabello, who is also the vice president of the Unified Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), ratified the friendship between the Cuban and Venezuelan peoples and governments, who are resisting the US siege.

He also described his meeting with the first and second secretaries of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Raul Castro and Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, respectively, as extraordinary; as well as his meeting with President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

'We reviewed the organization of the 25th Sao Paul Forum, which will be held in Caracas from July 24 to 28,' said Cabello, who also predicted mass participation by delegations of left-wing movements and parties in the event.

Cabello noted that issues related to the two countries' integration were addressed, considering that they have been attacked by the United States in its effort to overthrow the Cuban and Bolivarian revolutions.

'In light of this situation, we understand that we must be united, because we have a very powerful common enemy (...) Evidently, the United States has decided to radicalize the attacks on us,' Cabello stressed.

In addition, some day the world will recognize Cuba's efforts for peace and international solidarity, he noted.

'Friendly Cuba does not need to be invited to help others. Without interfering in any countries' internal affairs, it has contributed to sum up. (...) Evidently it is a friendly and brother country', Cabello stressed.

During his two-day visit to Cuba, Cabello also met with Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and People's Power National Assembly Speaker Esteban Lazo.
