Managua, Jul 22 (Prensa Latina) A party that combined pure Cuban flavor, with music and gastronomy as main ingredients, became the celebration of the 40th anniversary of restoring diplomatic relations between Nicaragua and the Caribbean nation.

The populous Puerto Salvador Allende, the major recreational complex in the country located on the shores of Lake Xolotlan, was the scene of the fraternal meeting of the Cuban residents in Nicaragua and the only friends of the Caribbean country.

Tony Guzman y su Poder Latino orchestra, which since early July has made an extensive tour of Nicaragua, put dancing many people with anthological songs of the Cuban national repertoire.

Cuban cuisine was present with the typical roast suckling pig, accompanied by yuca with mojo and congris rice, emblematic dishes and very popular in Nicaragua.

Cuban ambassador Juan Carlos Hernandez highlighted the fact that just one week and one day after the triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution, both countries made official, with the resumption of the diplomatic relations, the historic bonds of friendship between the peoples of Jose Marti and Ruben Dario.
