Varadero Gourmet to Showcase Excellent Cuban Cuisine

The 11th Varadero Gourmet International Festival, scheduled to take place at this beach resort from September 18 to 21, seeks to position Cuba as a quality destination for bar and restaurant services, organizers informed.

The festival will be held at the Plaza America Conference Center of this resort, located in north-west Matanzas and 140 kilometers east of Havana.

The event seeks to bring together national and foreign businesspeople and specialists linked to the management and commercialization of beverages and food, as well as academics, clients of the country's tourist resorts, and other professionals linked to the sector.

Exchanging knowledge and experiences surrounding gastronomic services as a determining factor of competitiveness for tourist destinations, is also among the aims of the organizers.

Varadero Gourmet-2019 is organized by the Ministry of Tourism, the Cubasol Higher Organization of Business Management, the Palmares Extra-Hotel Enterprise, Havanatur Travel Agency and the ITH Marketing Company.

Keynote speeches, presentations of products and services, workshops, expert panels, exhibitions and competitions, including of cold starters, tapas and snacks, will complete the program of the 11th Varadero Gourmet Festival.
