President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Saturday condemned the US Government's lies on the missions of Cuban medical professionals throughout the world, a work that he described as honorable.

The nerve, lies, perseverance of the empire collapses before the moral height accumulated by the honorable history of Cuban medical missions, he wrote on his Twitter account @DiazCanelB.

Days ago, Cuba denounced Washington's recent aggression through a program sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which has allocated millions of dollars in funds to 'hinder, discredit and sabotage' Cuba's medical cooperation, which is highly recognized worldwide.

In a declaration, the Cuban Foreign Ministry noted that the new aggression is part of 'the rude pressure exerted on several governments to hinder Cuban cooperation'.

The press release added that this is also part of previous efforts with the same purpose, like the special 'parole' program to steal human resources trained in Cuba.

Cuba described as an immoral groundless slander the allegations by the United States that the Caribbean island is involved in human trafficking or slavery practices, as well as the intentions to denigrate the work of Cuban medical professionals who are rendering their services in several countries.
