Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, highlighted today the need to defend the revolutionary processes in Cuba and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and coordinate alliances among progressive movements in the interest of guaranteeing the necessary unity to succeed.

When speaking at the panel *Desafios para una articulacion solidaria de nuestras luchas*, he ratified the absolute solidarity of his country with movements focusing on a better future against the imperialist wave and pointed out the right of nations to develop freely without foreign pressure.

Especially, he expressed his solidarity with the Cuban Revolution, its government and people as well as with the legit presidency of Venezuela against threats targeting its independence, sovereignty, and free right to its development.

In this regard, he said Saint Vincent and the Grenadines stands against those who want to impose a non-democratic solution to countries and use different methods that include violence.

In his speech, he mentioned that the Anti-Imperialist Meeting is essential to understand basic issues affecting left-wing movements today and in this line, he highlighted the need to act properly in present times.

We must have great understanding of the international policy as Neoliberalism and capitalism have gotten into a dangerous, complex spins with multiple contradictions and different trends.

Similarly, it is clear that international bourgeois, in alliance with governments, do not respect the people or their independence. Thus, the democratic lie finally reveals.

This means that these processes are certainly dangerous and unpredictable.

All of them are ready to use fascist methods to consolidate their term.

He pointed out that his nation is a small country, but fears no one. The country continues its leadership and defends its sovereignty and independence before today´s hostile scene around the world.

The Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity, for Democracy and against Neoliberalism –attended by 1,000 delegates from 90 countries– will be held in Havana until next Sunday.

As part of the official program of the Meeting, there will be panel discussions today focused on: Solidarity with Cuba and other fair causes; the peoples against free market and multinationals; Decolonization and cultural war. Strategic communication and social struggle; youth: strategies and continuity of struggles; Democracy, sovereignty, and Anti-Imperialism; Integration, identities, and common struggles.

This day will end with the meeting of the Continental Day for Democracy and against Neoliberalism.

Organized by the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples, the Cuban Chapter of Social Movements, the Anti-Imperialist Meeting supports the decision of naming Cuba the converging point for the peoples´ struggles in Latin America.
