Sri Lankan graduates in Cuba pay tribute to Fidel Castro
The Sri Lankan Association of Graduates in Cuba paid tribute in Colombo to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of his death.
Dr. Nirsha Fernando, on behalf of the graduates, highlighted the validity of Fidel Castro's ideas, while thanking him for the opportunity to become professionals to serve their country.
The graduates also reiterated once again their rejection of the unjust and genocidal blockade imposed by the US government against Cuba for almost 60 years, as well as the intense and slanderous crusade Washington is carrying out against the international medical cooperation of the Caribbean island.
According to diplomatic sources, Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka Juana Elena Ramos Rodriguez and relatives of the graduates attended the activity.
