Over 600 thousand Cubans residing abroad visited their homeland in 2019

Cuban Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that in 2019, over 600 thousand Cubans living abroad visited the island, in evidence of the strengthening of their ties with their homeland.

The top Cuban diplomat said on Twitter than 552 thousand of them came from the United States, notwithstanding the reinforcement of hostility from their country of residence towards Cuba.

Rodriguez reiterated the island´s commitment to expanding dialogue and cooperation to establish more fluid relations with the Cuban diaspora.

Late last year, the Foreign Ministry announced that the next conference The Nation and its Migration would be held in Havana April 8-10, 2020.
