Cuba invited to attend Brussels tourist fair
Cuba's embassy in Belgium welcomed the Caribbean island's presentation as a guest country to attend the 62nd edition of Salon des Vacances in Brussels, a forum specialized in tourist trips.
During a press briefing, the presentation was in charge of Cuban Ambassador Norma Goicochea and FISA group's executive director Frederic Francois.
The diplomat highlighted Cuba's distinctive features as a destination, including its natural attractions, cultural richness and its inhabitants' hospitality.
This year's Salon des Vacances, scheduled for February 6-9, will offer a special opportunity to approach the island and its offers, marked by the human warmth of its people, Goicochea insisted.
Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Diana Rosa Gonzalez told reporters some of the new features and progress in infrastructure that will be addressed during the event.
Francois told the press that Salon des Vacances attracts about 100,000 visitors every year.
