Act of Solidarity with Cuba in Paraguay

An act of solidarity with Cuba took place in this capital by an initiative of the Guasú Front, a coalition of parties and social organizations in Paraguay. The central activity of the event was a large conference by Juan Pozo, an official of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, who is visiting the country, in which he addressed the historical birth, development and consolidation of the Cuban Revolution .

Pozo explained the situation lived on the island during the term of the capitalist system which led to the adoption by the youth and all the people of the armed struggle from 1953 with the attack on the Moncada Barracks.

In his words, Pozo was updating the attendees on the process that led, with the strength of the whole nation to the aggression and the blockade of the United States, to realize the achievements of Cuba in different social aspects today praised internationally.

Ricardo Canese, international relations secretary of the Guasu Front, said the Cuban Revolution transformed Latin America and was never silenced or defeated in its 55 years of existence, highlighting the people's support to progress in health, education and quality life.

In the event, there were Juan Domingo Astiasarán, Cuban Ambassador to Paraguay, officials from the embassy, â��â��Najib Amado, deputy secretary general of the Front Guasú and Fabricio Arniella, general secretary of the Communist Youth.
