Cuba´s First Vice-President Miguel Diaz-Canel said in Havana he voted to fulfill his right as citizen.

After casting his ballot in the municipality of Playa, Diaz-Canel said this action is a duty, a responsibility and a commitment. ¨When you vote, you take a position, ¨ he said.

He said he came filled with the emotion for everything that happened in the last days, very symbolic and meaningful ones, marked by the return of the three heroes that were unfairly imprisoned in the United States.

Also, he said, because of the recent success of Cuba at the Summit of the Americas, where truth was manipulated when non legit members of Cuban society showed up, in an open maneuver to discredit Cuba, which was answered in a fitting way by the Cuban delegation.

He wondered why nobody took to Panama the representatives of Occupy Wall Street, of Afro-Americans that have suffered recently the killing of some of them due to police brutality

Despite of everything, Cuba showed its achievements, its purposes, aspirations and had a good acceptance from those who, in a decent manner, held a dialogue with the Cuban delegation, he said,

¨I think this day is a day of support of the Cuban people to their Revolution and we will express the same on May Day, when all of us that are voting today will parade as well, ¨Diaz-Canel said.
