The International Convention "Cuba-Salud 2015" and the Trade Fair Health for All, important events of the Cuban public health, begin activities today in this capital to debate and show progresses in this sphere. About 50 delegations and 40 health ministers have so far confirmed their assistance to those events, to be run until Friday, April 24.

The Havana's Conference Center and Pabexpo fairgrounds will be the venues for both events, organized by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health.

According to the event's executive secretary, Ileana Morales, the presence of deputy ministers, national directors, rectors and vice rectors of medical universities, as well as officials from the World Health Organization-Pan-American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO) is also expected.

The participation in the event of 13 publishing houses with high-impact health publications, as well as firms and trade companies representing products, technologies and medicines stresses.

The program includes eight pre-congress courses, eight collateral events, among them several symposiums on Ebola virus, cancer, occupational health, medical cooperation and international health, tuberculosis, and the Tenth Information Technology Congress in Salud 2015.

During the Trade Fair Health for All 2015, in which Pabexpo is the venue, publishing houses, companies, laboratories, universities and national and international specialized firms will present their products, technologies and materials, and presentations, lectures and business meetings will be carried out.

Scientific activities on contracting for health service in Cuba and the world, the role of the national regulatory activity in research, development and health technology transformation, among other issues, are taken place in the context of the exhibition.
