Cuba Promotes National Tourist Destinations in Spain

Cuba will participate in the Expovacaciones and Aratur Fairs to be held this month in the cities of Barakaldo and Zaragoza, respectively; reported the Councillor of Tourism of the Cuba Embassy in Spain, Dulce Maria Sanchez. The official said that, among other objectives, the presentations aim to strengthen the ties with tour operators and agencies of the Basque Country and Aragon, host of the meetings.

Expovacaciones will be held from May 8 to 10 at the fairgrounds Bilbao Exhibition Center in Barakaldo, Vizcayaand; and Aratur from May 15 to 17 at the Palacio de Congresos in Zaragoza.

According to the press release, the latest features of the Cuban tourism package such as the new facilities and services, as well as the richness and variety of the Cuban tourism product will also be presented there.

Other Cuban highlights are the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the cities of Santiago de Cuba and Remedios, in addition to the existing offers in Havana, Varadero, Holguin and the northern keys of Villa Clara and Ciego De Avila, as major areas of interest for the Spanish market.

Additionally, information on the major events that will take place in the country in 2015, such as Turnat to be held in the western Viñales, Pinar del Rio, will also be provided.
