Additionally delegates will receive information and reflect on main issues such as the beginning of the process of restoration of relations between Havana and Washington, told to Prensa Latina the national president of the solidarity movement, Gabriel Obando.

As in other opportunities he said we will also express ourselves in favor of the closure of the illegal US prison in Guantanamo and the return to the Caribbean country of that piece of its territory.

Obando stated forward that they also expect the presence of international guests so as to articulate steps together around the Latin American unity from different fronts.

The preparation of young people in charge of ensuring the continuity of the work developed by the friendship groups is another priority of the meeting in Cartagena de Indias, he emphasized.

Founded by half of last century, the Colombian movement of solidarity with Cuba is one of the largest and most solid in Latin America, assured the activist.
