Cuban antiterrorist fighter Antonio Guerrero expressed today his solidarity with the French people after the recent attacks in Paris, which caused 129 deaths and more than 300 wounded. Guerrero arrived in Moscow this Wednesday on his first visit to Russia since his return to the Cuba on December 17, 2014, after 15 years of imprisonment in the United States for trying to prevent terrorist actions against Cuba, forged in US territory by extremist groups.

On behalf of the Cuban Five, fighters who suffered long years of imprisonment precisely for combating the scourge of terrorism, and also on behalf of their families, Guerrero wrote his condolences and expressed solidarity in the book opened at the French Embassy for the victims of the series of terrorist attacks perpetrated on Friday night in Paris.

The Cuban hero was wrongly convicted along with Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labanino and Fernando Gonzalez, known as the Cuban Five in the global campaigns for their release.

Our Cuban people also suffered the pain caused by terrorism. We have fought for 56 years of revolution against terrorism, said Antonio Guerrero. The Cuban ambassador, Emilio Lozada, also signed the book of condolences.

The president of the Russia-Cuba friendship group in the Senate, Vadim Tulpanov, and other senators, received this Wednesday the antiterrorist fighter, who had the opportunity to thank the solidarity and support of the Russian Parliament to the cause of liberation of the Cuban Five.

Tomorrow it is scheduled an exchange with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Ryabkov, according to Prensa Latina.

The Cuban antiterrorist fighter will hold several meetings with the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five, with activists of the Social Movement 'Venceremos' and with officers of the Russia-Cuba Friendship Association.

Antonio Guerrero also will attend a concert of the group Grenada, with a repertoire in which are recreated poems written by Guerrero during his imprisonment in US between 1998 and 2014.
