New International hotel and golf course in Varadero

New challenges loom on the horizon for the Enterprise of Architecture and Engineering Projects (EMPAI) in Matanzas. This company has a major role in the creation and modernization of Varadero’s infrastructure.

A modern golf course with accommodation, the new International Hotel with more than 900 rooms, as well as the improvement of several facilities in the beach resort located 75 miles east of Havana are the center of attention for the entity workers.

According to Jorge Luis Hernandez, general manager of EMPAI, after completing the conceptual ideas for the golf course, workers are now focused on the technical preparation of the work, to be built in the area of Carbonera, at the outskirt of the city.

Mr. Hernandez also noted that the new International Hotel —much better in comfort and variety of services than the former one— is in its initial stage while works on external networks, creation of temporary facilities, excavation, and drainage do well.

The remodeling of the swimming pool and other areas of the beach resort are some of the goals assumed at present times. They are basics to adapt these facilities to the growing expectations of the international tourism, said Jorge Luis.
