Cuba: Psychologists from Five Continents to Participate in Convention

Psychologists from nearly 50 countries will participate in the Intercontinental Convention on Psychology, which will be held on May 9-13, the organizing committee announced today. Under the slogan "Psychology as enhancer for human welfare", the convention will gather experts from Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, while Latin America and the Caribbean and Europe are among the regions with the highest participation.

The scientific programme includes subjects like human development and subjectivity, identity and diversity: society, groups, family, gender, generations.

The programme is completed by applied psychology: addictions, health, education, culture, sports, communities, organizations, communications, social institutions, disasters and psychological theories and their relationship to other sciences.

The Convention, also named "Hominis 2016", will host 26 events, including the Sixth International Conference of Psychology in Emergencies and Disasters,Congress on Rorschach´s Psychodiagnosis and other Projective Techniques and the World Conference on Psychology, Counseling and Guidance.

Sponsored by the Cuban Society of Psychology and the American Association, among others, the meeting will be held at the Palacio de las Convenciones in Havana.
