Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, visited the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany during the first day of his official visit to that country, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the island reported today. Rodriguez and his delegation met with a representation of the parliamentary group for Central America and the Caribbean, which is comprised of representatives of all the political forces represented in the legislature.

According to the website, the state and prospects of the relationships between Cuba and Germany, as well as issues on the political, economic and social events of the island were discussed.

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs described as positive the relationships between the two countries, while stating that there existed broad potential for expanding ties in different areas.

Rodriguez's agenda also includes official talks with German Minister for Foreign Affairs, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who visited the island last year.
