Septeto Santiaguero will kick off its fourth tour of the United States in July, sources from the musical group told Prensa Latina.
The summer tour of the band, which won the 2015 Latin Grammy Award for its record 'No Quiero Llanto-Tributo a Los Compadres', will run from July 19 to August 12 and will include 13 U.S. cities, under the auspices of the Cuban recording company EGREM and the Texas-based firm Freshen Up Arts.
On July 28, Septeto Santiaguero will officially launch its latest record 'Raiz', released by EGREM, at Joe's Pub, in New York, as part of a tour that will also include Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Cleveland.
'No Quiero Llanto' features the Dominican singer Jose Alberto El Canario with Los Canarios Music.
'Raiz' features world jazz glories like Nicholas Payton and Arturo O'Farril, as well as salsa musicians such as Ruben Blades, Charlie Aponte and Alfredo de la Fe.
The band's single 'La Meneadera' has made it for eight weeks to the Top 100 songs in Cuba.
