The French city of Toulouse will receive an exhibit dedicated to Latin American hand made puppets and dolls of the Cuban socio-cultural project Carsueños, based in the Cuban eastern central city of Camaguey.

Nearly two decades of work are endorsing the work of the project, completely addressed to handicrafts.

There will be a similar exhibit in the next days in Camaguey, with pieces of different styles and times, especially from the 20th Century.

Carmen Soto, leader of the project, said didactic and therapeutic books will also be a part of the exhibit.

Moreover, the exchange with the public in France will include, in addition to the exhibition, donations of toys to children who are suffering from diseases, being treated in hospitals in the city of Toulouse.

In Europe, the members of the group have scheduled conferences, workshops to show their art.

Dissimilar shapes, range of functions and materials for manufacture of dolls are present in the pieces made by several authors that make up the various exhibitions of Carsuenos, a group of artists living in the Rosa La Bayamesa Plaza, located in the area of the city declared a Cultural Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO.
