Carnival Celebrations to Close Cuba Summer Season

The festivities of Matanzas-2017 carnival, which will be held from today until September 3, will be a moving closure for the carnival program conceived by local authorities.

King Momo festivities will begin this Monday with the baptism of the lampposts in La Libertad central park of Matanzas city, located 100 kilometers east of Havana.

The popular dance with renowned national Cuban salsa bands are scheduled for tomorrow, while children's carnival will be conducted on Wednesday, and on Thursday locals will have the opportunity to enjoy the colorful floats and troupes exhibitions.
