National Prize of Painting 2009, Nelson Domínguez,is celebrating today his 70 Anniversary and a great series of his paintings demostrate his great creative capacity.

The painter himself opened his perosonal exibition at the San José de las Lajas galery,in the province of Mayabeque, near the capital.

He was borfned in Baire, a town in Santiago de Cuba province,and lived his first years at the Sierra Maestra, and with his father he help the Rebel Army struggle lead by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, among other leaders that he admires and met personally.

His masterpieces are seen in private colection of the Queen of the Netherlands, Steven Spielberg, Robert Redford, Liv Ullmann,among others and in galeries in Cuba, Japan, México, France,USA,UK,India, Malaysia, Panamá, Brasil, Colombia.

Art and Culture of 100 Nations in Beijing Biennale
Beijing, Sept 24 (Prensa Latina) Beijing Biennale opened today its 7th annual focused on divulging the thought and culture of over 100 nations through their artists'' vision.

The event has as headquarters the National Museum of Art and will be held until October 15 with the topic 'Beyond the Silk Route', because it seeks to promote contemporary integration between Eastern and Western territories.

The audience will enjoy 601 pieces made by proffessionals of Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Venezuela, Honduras, Spain and Panama, among others.

Besides, it will include six special exhibitions dedicated, for example, to contemporary art of Georgia, Greece, Indonesia and Mongolia.

According to the curator and organizer of the Biennale, Tao Qin, the present annual is the largest and most international, which transforms China in a platform with great influence worldwide.
