The Sundance Film Festival will once again dedicate spaces of the program to music for movies through collaboration with the American Society of Composers (ASCAP), specialized media state today.

The meeting that will take place from January 18 to 28 in Park City, in Utah, proposes a series of initiatives, especially the Annual Sundance-ASCAP Music Café, a space that for 20 editions has been a platform for the performance of artists and composers, and collaborative projects between both organizations.

The society also organizes the ASCAP Composer and Filmmaker Cocktail Party, where filmmakers and music creators converge to establish connections that propitiate the Sundance Film Festival.

ASCAP Assistant Vice President and Sundance-ASCAP Music Café producer, Loretta Muñoz, said in a statement the importance for the society to 'celebrate the 20th anniversary, the essential role of music in the art of cinema' in that space.

Madison Cunningham, Dark Rooms, Brett Dennen, Elliot Root, Michael Franti, Ethan Gruska, Mr Hudson, Ruelle, and Striking Matches, among others; while composers Steven Lee Olsen and Tenille Townes are among the guest musicians this year.
