The restoration work being done in the 42 archaeological zones affected by the earthquakes of Sept. 7 and Sep. 19 of last year has today an advance of 95 percent, said a reliable source.

The information was provided by the coordinator of Archaeology of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), Pedro Francisco Sanchez, who assured the newspaper La Jornada that no archaeological building is at risk.

However, he noted that in the pyramidal zone of Mount Alban, Oaxaca, the ball game collapsed and building A of the northern platform has a tendency to shift, so the work may extend to 2020.

According to the Archaeology coordinator's report, damage in other areas was minor, from cracks and crevices to detachments of decorative elements and landslides in structures nestled in higher parts.

Some regions have been affected in site museums or service areas, such as lockers and toilets, which were addressed.
