Contest to Pay Tribute to Cuban Filmmaker Tomas Gutierrez Alea

The Cuban Cinemateca and the CarteLON project are keeping open today the call for entries for the competition to pay tribute to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Tomas Gutierrez Alea (Titon), one of the most outstanding directors of Latin American film.

According to the basis, designers and students of the Higher Institute of Design may participate, with the number of works they deem relevant and using an element related to the personality of Gutierrez Alea.

Proposals must be designed for silkscreen production with a format of 50x70 centimeters and the use of up to three colors, always alluding to the significant date and with the text 'TITON 90 ANNIVERSARY'.

According to the announcement, sponsored by the Havana Film Festival, the works must have the identifying logo of the institutions in charge as well as the logotype of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry.

The creations can be delivered printed until October 15, in letter format inside an envelope and in digital support at 300 dots per inch at the headquarters of the Cuban Cinemateca, located at 23rd Street between 10 and 12.

Proposals must have the year, the author's data and signature: full name, identity document, private address, telephone and e-mail.
