Paris, Sep 25 (Prensa Latina) Unesco announced here the third edition of the event called IPDC-talks, on occasion of the international Day of Universal Access to Information.

According to a communique, the event that takes its name from the International Program for the Development of Communication (IPDC) will be held in Tunisia next Thursday, with a wide participation of international experts.

Sessions will focus on 'Good laws and practices for open societies, making sustainable more dynamic through access to information'.

In the venue, professionals of the communication media, journalists and activists will reflect also on key elements to promote the acces of the public to quality information worldwide and locally, as data protection, struggle against corruption, transparency and responsibility.

The IPCD-talks will be held for the third consecutive year to promote access to information and there will also be eight regional events in Afghanistan, Colombia, Gambia, Jordan, Malaysia, Namibia, Pakistan and Palestine.

The objective is to promote a world debate on open societies and the adoption of better laws and practices of access to information.

According to the communique, opinion leaders, experts in communication media, leaders of civil society and pioneers of innovation are invited to share their achievements and discoveries with an audience of global and local actors.
