Paris, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) César Awards for cinema in France will pay tribute in its 2019 edition to the legendary singer Charles Aznavour, who died on Monday at 94 years of age.

In a statement, the president of the Academy of Arts and Technology of Cinema, Alain Terzian, said that parallel to the music 'his film career was admirable,' participating in more than 60 films that will be part of the planned tribute.

Aznavour died on Monday in the south of the country at age 94, and his departure has caused many reactions of sadness and pain.

The composer, who was also an actor, was born in this capital on May 22, 1924, in an Armenian family, a condition he was always proud of and that marked his artistic career.

Although he began to sing very young, international success came in the 1960s and since then his fame did not stop growing around the world with songs like La Boheme, For me formidable, and Venice without you.

During his long, fruitful career, he performed more than 1,200 songs in seven languages, offered shows in 94 countries and sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
