Cuban singer Omara Portuondo will offer a concert on July 28 at the capital's Marti Theater, in which she will promote her new album Omara Siempre, (Omara Forever) nominated for the Latin Grammy Award 2018, according to organizers.

The album, released last May by the Musical Recording and Editions Company (EGREM), seeks to win as the Best Traditional Tropical Album.

During the concert, the audience will listen to the 11 songs that make up the studio work, a repertoire already performed by other artists, but with new arrangements made by the musician Alain Perez, the album's producer.

In this show, some of the singers that participated in the recording will be with the artist as guests, among them Issac Delgado, Diana Fuentes, David Blanco and Alain Perez.

Winner of the National Music Prize (2006), the singer -known worldwide as the diva of the Buena Vista Social Club- was also awarded a Latin Grammy for Best Contemporary Tropical Album in 2009 for her record Gracias (Thanks).
