Cuban dancer Lizt Alfonso has announced Wednesday she is working with Casa Patas Flamenco Conservatory Foundation in Madrid on a show scheduled to premiere in Cuba on October 31.

The presentation is entitled Reditum and will be staged in a unique performance at Marti Theatre in Havana.

According to the statement, the general direction and choreography are in charge of dancer Jose Barrios, who prepared an exhibition with buleria, tanguillos, buleria by Solea, among other works.

In Barrios' opinion, this new piece will allow the public to return to their land, roots, people and customs, to embrace what will no longer return and what they yearn for, to enjoy small great memories which tear a smile off your face or nip your soul.

The pieces will be performed with live music by artists Isaac Muñoz (guitar and musical direction), Luis Dorado (percussion), Victor Guadiana (violin), Caridad Vega and Sara Corea (singers).

After this presentation, Reditum's tour is scheduled across the United States.

Lizt Alfonso is a choreographer of wide international recognition, founder of the company Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (1991) and appointed Goodwill Ambassador of UNICEF (2011).

In fusion dance, her work as an educator stands out, which led to the creation of Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba School, winner of the International Spotlight Award from the United States Presidential Commission for the Arts and Humanities (2016).

Jose Barrios is a choreographer from Cordoba who since 2002 is part of the prestigious Maria Pages Company and has worked on shows such as 'Songs before a war', 'Seville' and 'I, Carmen'.

The Casa Patas Flamenco Conservatory Foundation was founded in 2000 to join all activities related to teaching, research and promotion of flamenco singing, guitar playing and dance.
