Cuban Symphony Orchestra and Argentinean Pianist in Concert
The National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba and the renowned Argentinean pianist Dario Ntaca gave a concert in Havana on Sunday.
The artist, who is considered one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation, has a rich international career that has led him to perform with renowned orchestras such as Sinfonietta in Paris, France; the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, in the Czech Republic; and companies from Venezuela, Colombia and Guatemala.
The performance by the orchestra, directed by Maestro Oreste Saavedra, took place at its usual venue of the Covarrubias Hall of Teatro Nacional de Cuba.
The concert program included the Baccanale works of the opera Samson and Dalila by Camille Saint-SaÃ'ns, the Symphony No. 4, in E minor, Op.98 by Johannes Brahms and the Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 1 by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba is the main artistic institution dedicated to the interpretation of orchestral works of classical music.
