Carlos Alfonso, director of the group, informed the press they will perform together with Havana Chamber orchestra, directed by Maestra Daiana García, in which promises to be an encounter between chords and the whole music they have made these years, mostly Afro Cuban music.

This union is product of a joint work both orchestras have done for a while, through which they intend to give a new sound dimension to the ancestral chants and rhythms that have given Síntesis great national and international recognition.

Alfonso said that some of the themes in the trilogy Ancestros will be played and the performance of guest star Yanexy Cruz, soloist of the Cuban National Folklore Ballet.

The group, which highlights for their ability to mix rhythms like rock, jazz and classical music with the sounds of Afro Cuban roots, has performed in important world stages and has 13 phonograms, awarded in events like CUBADISCO Festival.

It has composed music for documentaries and feature films as María Antonia, by Sergio Giral, with which won the 1990 Premio Coral for Best Soundtrack and Miel para Oshún, by relevant filmmaker Humberto Solás.

In 2012, Síntesis received the Artistic Merit Diploma conferred by the National Museum of Music, as recognition for their creative enrichment to the Cuban musical patrimony.
