Some 40 Cubans and an equal number of U.S. experts are taking part in the meeting, aimed at designing joint actions to promote literature and reading in the two countries.

The U.S. visitors took the opportunity to invite Cuban writers and publishers to attend this year's edition of BookExpo America --the largest annual book trade fair in the United States and one of the most important of its kind in the world.
