Bogota, Oct 7 (Prensa Latina) Three of the leading figures of the Colombian music, Juanes, Carlos Vives and Fonseca announced that they will join the concert ''to celebrate diversity and unity'', to be held in the Mexican-US border on October 15th.

The concert will take place in response to the position of the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, to whom the artists will send a message of unity due to Trump's promise of building a large wall on the border with Mexico and his discriminatory speeches against the Latino community in the United States.

Musicians like Julieta Venegas, Miguel Bose, Lila Downs, Jorge Drexler, Jesse and Joy, Natalia Lafourcade, Los Tigres del Norte, Lupillo Rivera, Residente (Calle 13) and Alejandro Sanz will take part in the concert.

Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal and Mexican film director, Jonas Cuaron, along with Argentine actress Mia Maestro and American actor Wilmer Valderrama will be special guests to the concert.

One of the sponsors of the concert said that a group of award-winning artists will celebrate through music, our interconnected world and the positive things that come when we show empathy, respect and remain open minded towards each other.

The mega-concert will be held at the US city of San Diego, separated only by a border wall from the Mexican Tijuana.
