Quentin Tarantino plans to retire after two more films

American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has reportedly planned his retirement, not anytime soon, but after two more films.

The 1994's cult movie Pulp Fiction director made the confirmation during a conference in San Diego, California, US, on Thursday. “Drop the mic. Boom. Match that sh**,” he exclaimed as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter, adding that he did not want to make more films after his tenth.

Following the release of his latest film, The Hateful Eight ( 2015 ), Tarantino, who so far has directed and written eight films, told the audiences that he was currently concentrating on a historical nonfiction project. In January, Tarantino shared his idea of a 1930's Australian "Bonnie and Clyde-esque" story with an Australian-based movie review website.

Previously there has been a petition requesting for Tarantino to direct the sequel of Marvel's Deadpool after its former director, Tim Miller, decided to step down from the project. The petition has been signed by more than 16,000 people, but the director's plans regarding this matter are still unclear.

Tarantino made his film making debut with Reservoir Dogs in 1992; although, he had already made a short movie, My Best Friend’s Birthday in 1987. He has directed several hit movies, such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill and Django Unchained. (kes)
