'Geladis, historia inconclusa' is the name of the art exhibition by the local female artist on display which could be watched at the María del Carmen Nogueiras gallery from the National Council of Cultural center in Havana city.

The exhibition is part of the cultural activities which are being carried out nationwide on the occasion of the World day against the Gender and Girl Violence that was proclaimed in 1999 by the United Nation Organization (UN).

Geladis Pérez Martínez is the artist who is internationally known as the Cuban Frida Kahlo one through her own heartbreaking works that are full of passion and pain. She is an artist who paints and fights against the gender violence and her work is featured by showing her experiences, emotions, sadness and her love, above all.

In her paintings, you will not find special poses or informal ones at the time of portraying herself to reaffirm her authorship, on the contrary, it is to transmit her pain, distress or happiness.

Geladis Pérez Martínez is an artist who carried out her first works through the local visual arts specialties of the Cultural center from Matanzas city and she has remained collaborating and doing some actions in her natal Jovellanos town by dividing her life between her Matanzas territory and Flandes in the Netherlands.

In addition, it could be also enjoyed on that date the art exhibition entitled ´Se acabó el abuso´ which will be inaugurated at the local Bridada Jose Martí National cultural venue on this upcoming December 25th.

The art exhibition is an artistic proposal from the local Higher Design Institute (ISDI) from the National Council of Cultural centers and is ´Pensar es Servir´ Martiano center. It was chosen from the ´Mujeres de Abril´ exhibition in 2016.

The proposal is the result from an academic and cultural exchange among students from the universities from the Design Higher Institute in Cuba and the University of Indiana from a project of posters on the occasion of the second local event on the poster that was dedicated to the presence of the woman in the graphic.

This new artistic exhibition is on display entitled ´Se acabó el abuso´ which is a local phrase used in the design of the poster by Mario Armando Morales Pacheco and other ones such as Frank E. Cala García, Anabel Alejo Combarro, Kalia M. Venereo León, Laura García Pérez, Neily Baeza Manteiga, Orbe Góngora Peña, Tais M. García Kostromina and Xavier Arenas Notario.

On December 25 th initiates a series of activities for the fight against the gender violence against the woman and girls. The exhibitions entitled ´Geladis, historia inconclusa´ and the aforementioned one are part of the cultural proposals which are part of that cause in Havana city.
