The Youth Forum Idea y Sociedad (Idea and Society) is one of the expressions with which the 92th birthday of late Commander in Chief Fidel Castro will be celebrated in Santiago de Cuba.
The event will be held at the Stained Glass Hall of the Antonio Maceo Revolution Square, where Cubans said good bye to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution for the last time on December 3rd, 2016.
The Hermanos Saiz Association, grouping young Cuban artists, the Cultural Society Jose Marti, and the Caguayo Foundation are responsible of organizing the Forum. The legacy of Fidel Castro, especially in the days where a new draft constitution of the Republic of Cuba is discussed, will be highlighted.
In the village of Biran, Fidel’s birthplace, young people will go camping and perform cultural activities on the eve of his birthday. Fidel also knew how to leave a mark on youth with his ideas and revolutionary behavior.
Cubans and foreigners still visit the patrimonial cemetery of Santa Ifigenia to pay tribute to Fidel Castro along with our National Hero Jose Marti, and the founding fathers Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and Mariana Grajales.
