Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez, president of the Council of States and Ministers, insisted on providing all affected citizens the necessary information as well as listening to their problems. In addition to this, he urged to make them see the magnitude of the impact and the efforts carried out in each neighborhood of Havana to reduce the damages as soon as possible.
In the Council of Ministers meeting he chaired, the Head of State highlighted the importance of unblocking solutions as well as making more flexible the procedures that citizens need to carry out.
The survey of destructions must be family by family, case by case —he pointed out—, so we can get acquainted if people have where to cook and sleep; or if they are already enjoying electricity, water, and telephony.
