Havana, Mar 5 ( Prensa Latina) Life''s chain and its significance in emergency care is one of the issues debated Tuesday during the 8th International Congress on Urgencies, Emergencies and Intensive Care (Urgrav 2019).

Latin American Society of Pre-hospital Care President Ronny Contreras will address the need for adequate and rapid vital support for critical patients.

The second day of the meeting includes updating on the attention to disruptive phenomena for service providers in emergencies, on intensive anesthesiology in potential donors and the need for changes in coronary intensive care units to meet new challenges.

Pedro Veliz, president of the event's organizing committee, told the press this meeting is reaffirmed as an ideal space to share results and experiences, develop diagnostic policies and therapeutic protocols.

It also scientifically updates the specialists so they can provide better care service and achieve greater survival of patients with quality of life, he said.

Urgrav 2019 will be held in Havana's Convention Center until March 6 with the participation of doctors and nurses from the United States, Puerto Rico, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Romania, Hungary, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Guatemala and Cuba.
